A customer has asked me about glue recently so I thought I would share on the topic of glues!!
Which glue to use for what project well that is one of those million dollar questions.
As one glue will bond to one surface and not another, so the best advice I can give you is to try what you do have on a similar surface that you want to glue, in other words, test it! There is no easy fix with anything so why should this be any different.
Test test and more testing before you go to your work!!
|I can tell you through my experience that I use loctite 401 with PVC or similar materials, for gluing PVC to metal. This is a fast drying glue so be sure you have everything ready that you need to glue. (it will stick to your fingers and anything else if you are not careful!! I suggest you try it out before using it directly on to your work|
|Hypo- Cement glue is useful it keeps of its flexibility when it is dry, it can be used on silk or stretch material to hold knots in place. It has a fine tip with a replaceable cap which makes it easy to get into tricky places.|
