Ceramic and Jewellery work

Influences are drawn from the Art Deco period with its strong borders, patterning and geometry,
style and form. Out of this period of designing lead not only to dots but Zebra print & dots!! In both Jewellery & ceramics

Galleries where Carolyne's work may be viewed:
• Mulgara Gallery Ayers Rock
• Leaping Lizards Gallery Alice Springs

Jewellery Work
The love of zebra
print and dots continues with never ending pattern within pattern with surface break up and texture.
Developing into signature beads Zebra print introducing them into large neckpieces.

Past design, work includes collaboration designing on wearable art neckpieces and cuffs with Janice Evert's Boulder Opals.
This stunning range of work spends most of its time has touring American tradeshows.
As a great example of a modern twist with Boulder Opal

Current Work designing a wearable art range with clay crossing the product over with hand made glass

Current Production Ceramic beads and pendants/ceramic heavily decorated jewellery boxes and Lizards!!
The love of making flying Frilled neck lizards will never fade

Ceramic Work
Ceramic work
concentrates heavily on the decoration and surface treatment of the pieces in both Ceramics & Jewellery .

The decoration worked in coloured slips trailed, painted, and Sgraffito.
on a terracotta or white clay body with a clear gaze - the result is a very earthy palette.

Animals and reptiles, of which Carolyne has a great fondness for, often feature in her work.
Among her many group exhibitions in the past was Art at the Zoo held at Taronga Park Zoo
in Sydney, raising funds for the Orang-utans Rainforest exhibit which was very successful.

A range of Turquoise Ceramic work influenced by the elements on an inspirational trip to broom,
after an exhibition/artist in residency at Uluru.
The visual impact of the rich land surfaces meeting serene deep turquoise sea had a huge impact
after the stark dry hot windswept desert.
This range of work exhibited in Brooms Matso's Gallery.
